Pisces season and Spring blooms go together like:

If you can't tell, I'm writing this while hungry, but that's beside the point...

My dear friend and fellow Pisces queen, Blair, came to me late last month with an idea for a portrait session.  She wanted to incorporate a bouquet of flowers in an ultra femme palette for a portrait session to celebrate her birthday. 

Florals AND pink AND Blair's beautiful energy IN ONE SHOOT?! Hold my over-priced latte... BRB

I took the framework and ran with it like a toddler being asked to put on clothes... (parents, I see you and stand with you in solidarity *insert Hunger Games salute*)

When I host creative sessions like this one, I typically let my mind wander and try to use materials I already own in unique ways.  My only absolute was that I wanted to adorn her curls in florals at some point during the session - the rest of the shoot unfolded organically as I perused my storage closet at the studio.  I found some sheer white fabric that had been left-over from an event we'd recently hosted, and that fabric ended up becoming the match that lit my creativity this day.   I hung it from the rafters in a beautifully lit corner of the studio and directed Blair to dance.  The resulting images truly and honestly were the breath of fresh air I needed to lift my funky winter blues.
